You are wise, Trebeck. Next time, I won't give in so easily.

Almora 2-run bomb after 3 doubles yesterday. Looks like he's getting back on track. Hopefully Javy is next...

Would it make any sense for the Cubs to draft Hoffman, offer him a contract under slot, and then perhaps find an overslot player later in the draft? I think it's doubtful Hoffman turns down even a decent contract since he'll be sitting out for the next year.

I've thought about this myself actually. As some evaluators have said, it's basically like you're drafting a high school arm now if you take him. And while the fact he's had TJS is scary... we see guys have great careers all the time now following it (and many joke that you might as well just get it out of the way early anyway because you'll probably need it at some point).
So, if you like him a lot and feel he is a big step ahead of the other options, I wouldn't have a problem taking him. I see why many would though of course.

Kyle Freeland up to #5?
I just read a scouting report on him this morning and it was a glowing report.
Which means the White Sox will take him and proceed to turn him into Clayton Kershaw.

Almora's really starting to heat up.
Unless a pitcher gets some late helium, I'm feeling like they'll end up taking Jackson.

He looks like Jeff Foxworthy to me. Don't go and sully John Denver's good name!
