Video Games.

Speaking of tough games, if you lads ever want more of an old school RPG challenge, check out Darkest Dungeon. The combat is kind of like the old Final Fantasy games, except your guys will actually die...quite a bit, which is a challenge that is kind of refreshing compared to the "hand-holding" type of games you mentioned. I believe it's only available on PC and PS4 at the moment, but probably coming to Xbox and mobile eventually.

I just saw a quick walkthrough of Darkest Dungeon.  The presenter had one of his characters die in the tutorial.  Now that sounds challenging.  Might have to take a look.  Thanks for all the suggestions guys.</blockquote>

Right on, give it a whirl. The cool thing is it's pretty cheap too, but very polished for the price. I especially like the narrator's voice and other sound FX. The developers are continuously adding new content to the game as well.

BTW, you might have saw this in the video. but one of the neatest and most unique aspects of the game is the stress system. Your characters can actually have mental breakdowns or suffer other ailments due to the stress of combat, fighting weird monsters, and dungeon-raiding in general. You have to make sure they don't get too stressed out and can help provide relief by sending them to the tavern or brothel for a night on the town or even the temple for a prayer session. In the meantime you can recruit other adventurers to fill their spot (or to replace them in the unfortunate but inevitable event that one of them bites the bullet), all of which will cost you gold, which is something you have to make sure you keep enough of by going on missions continually, without running your party too thin, both phyisicaly and mentally...so the party management is a mini-game in itself that makes the whole game feel even more challenging, but that much more rewarding.

I did view a bit of the stress part of the game.  I'll definitely have to take a closer look.  Thanks Jeffy!

I got nothin'.

It finally released tonight and it's insanely good.

Every year while the game is fully installing they have you play an exhibition game between the WS teams.  That is much more enjoyable this year.  (As are the facts that I hit a Schwarbomb with the first pitch I saw and made a 9-3 putout with Heyward).

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

Right on. I hit a go-ahead bomb with KB that ended up sealing the deal in what was a very close game. Felt great.

Started a "Road to the Show" as a 2B and the new additions to the mode are pretty nice so far.

I'm hearing that this game is incredibly smooth on the new PS4 Pro so I'm tempted to trade in. It's mostly smooth as is, but there are some frame rate hitches here and there, so to have it play like butter would be worth it, imo...if I can just get the green light from the Mrs.

Too bad their servers are fucked up.  Can't play online and want to get the bonuses before I start RTTS.

Yeah, I got tired of waiting and went ahead. Looks like the servers are sort of working now, but still hit and miss.

Got the wife's approval so I pulled the trigger and traded in for a Pro tonight. Everything is indeed quite a bit smoother and looks better as well. I'm currently watching a CPU vs. CPU game because it's that good. God, this game is incredible.

Watched the trailer for Battlefront II, and I'll definitely be picking it up for PS4 in November. It looks pretty bad ass. Hopefully the story mode will be a little more in-depth than the first one.

I just want to drink beer and play atari

Aside from getting hooked on Rocket League again, the only other game I've really played recently was Zelda. Have about 130 hours into it, and its definitely one of the best games I've ever played. Damn game is incredible.

Next up for me is the Marvel Heroes beta just started for PS4, so I'll be downloading that tonight. It's a Diablo style MMO. Played a lot of it on PC, but supposedly it's not a straight port of the game.
Signature.

If anyone is in to board/dice games, there was a pretty cool one just released for mobile called Bottom of the 9th simulating the battle between the closer and hitters. I'm digging it so far.
