Theo and Laura make up for a lot of things, but only 1 of them is likely to be around beyond 2021.

Interesting article on fangraphs about the "profitability" of a baseball team. Unfortunately, Ricketts is front and center in this article. I have a sinking feeling that Tom is going to be the Jerry Reinsdorf of the next work stoppage.

Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

This is good news, even if unclear whether local teams are even prepared to re-open ballparks to the general public. White Sox would probably still struggle to fill 8,000 seats.

Not sure I will be attending any games this season. Seems quite risky still, even though we've been pretty lucky thus far.

Fangraphs' initial projection has the Cubs winning the NL Central with a 32-28 record, with each of the Brewers, Cardinals, and Reds finishing 1 game back at 31-29.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

WS here we come!

Quote:WS here we come! Fangraphs gives the Cubs a 3.9% chance of winning the World Series, 4th best in the National League behind the Dodgers (9.7%), Nationals (5.0%), and Braves (4.9%). Six teams in the AL have higher odds: Yankees (8.8%), Astros (7.6%), Twins (7.0%), Rays (6.6%), Indians (5.5%), and A's (5.2%).

Has MLB made any statements about fans? I would think it can't be a city by city decision because of fairness, no?

From what I have heard, fans will be allowed to the extent permitted by local government and if the team so chooses.

I'm still doubtful the season actually happens. Just feels like if testing is regular, one team will have an outbreak and the whole thing will shut down.

The Sox have played with a limited number of fans in the stands for years
