Favourite isolation movies that you've watched

Fear Street 1994 was a fun watch. More interested in the other films now having watched it. Also, fun to have non-bingeable content so that things can breath a little bit. I miss the days of online speculation and discussion.

Would you categorize Fear Street as straight horror or more of a nostalgia trip? It keeps popping up as a recommendation. And speaking of binge-watching I'm really enjoying season 2 of I Think You Should Leave on Netflix.

I burned through I Think You Should Leave pretty quickly. Such an awesome show. I'll probably watch the whole thing again in a few days.

I'm also somewhat intrigued by Fear Street, but I'll wait for you to watch it first and let me know, rok. Smile

Ok, I just learned that the director of Fear Street (Leigh Janiak) also wrote/directed Honeymoon, which was an awesome little sci-fi/horror flick. I’m really looking forward to this trilogy now.

Just finished the Woodstock 99 doc on HBO. Fascinating, but I feel like I need to soak in a tub of peroxide for about a week.

Suggest a quick bleach shower than tub of peroxide

Went to a late night screening of The Green Knight on Friday. Walking out I was underwhelmed and confused, as I naively expected something closer to Boorman's Excalibur, but now I can't stop thinking about it. Should have expected this after Lowery's last film, A Ghost Story, which was also a head-scratcher that you can't take your eyes off of. Can't wait to watch this again with a different perspective.

So if I go see this, what should my mindset be?

Not quite sure how to answer that, but don't expect it to be true to story of Sir Gawain and absolutely do not walk in expecting Game of Thrones. This is like watching a parable play out on screen. If you've watched any of Lowery's other films, you should be familiar with how calculated he is in establishing scenes, pacing and character development.

My buddy keeps telling me to watch this and I keep forgetting.

I'm not sure if I really want to dive into that...but I've also heard it's good.
