Cubs @ White Sox

Fuck you Kipnis. Way to fucking hustle. Run your fat ass after that ball and if you get waved off then fine.

What a truly pathetic effort.

Man, that was painful. Not exactly Ross' best 2 innings as manager. Never should have allowed Marquez and Underwood to get lit up like that.

Im happy. We knocked them into third place. Their fans were talking shit the entire season. This series was a pretty satisfying finish.

Relegating them to 3rd place and forcing them into a match-up with the A's is a pretty nice outcome for sure.

Marquez delivery is smooth and effortless, but just couldn't locate his 100mph fastball or his alleged ++ change up. His best pitch today was his slider which scouts say is his least desirable pitch. I would chalk it up to nerves and inexperience. But the calls for him to be included in the playoff squad by some Cubs twitter guys is a bit far fetched in my opinion.

Underwood Jnr is only in the team as he is out of options but I just think it's a wasted spot. He is very hittable with that high 90's straight fastball.

It was an interesting test to see if he is ready for the pen.

He's clearly not.  It would have been beyond all reason if he was.

Should we be more excited that we won the division? Probably more to do with the state of the country/world and the oddball season than anything else, but this is barely registering with me.

Part of me is excited but even the marlins scare me for some reason. Anything can happen in a short series but I dont have much faith in this team, sad to say.

I hope they prove me wrong

Every team is dangerous in a 3 game series. We just lost 3/4 to a historically bad Pirates team.

It's hard to get too emotionally involved in any sports right now. I'll watch these playoffs and welcome the distraction, but honestly, short of getting swept in embarrassing fashion, won't lose any sleep over this team regardless of the outcome.
