This move will either blow up in their face or work out in fairy book fashion.
It's pretty hard to image the latter. Reinsdorf's loyalty destroyed the greatest team in the history of the NBA and now it is responsible for hiring this asshole. One old white guy Trump supporter hires another old white guy Trump supporter. Man, I hope this move wrecks this team.

My fear is that with all of this scrutiny with the DUI, the Sox might reverse course and not keep Larussa. If there is one thing that can help scuttle a young dynamic team, its a drunk old schooler who hates fun. Larussa has to be kept around to grind this team into the ground.

I get that they were aware of it and it didnt stop them. By they I mean Jerry. But theres seems to be a lot of national journalists commenting on this and I can see a possible reaction from the Sox to mitigate this. Although as long as the ex moron in chief and his co-conspirators move forward with their ass backwards coup detat I guess this could pass by without a reaction.

Jerry gave him the job and has taken public heat for the decision. Doubtful that hell reverse course due to DUI incident.
Plus, who in Sox organization is going take the other side of the argument? Could imagine the discussion. Hmmm, excuse Mr Reinsdorf, just one thing about that LaRussa hiring. By the way, untraditional way to pick a guy with sooo much experience thats been out of a managerial job for almost a decade and doesnt seem to care for political correctness nor saber metrics nor use of performance enhancing drugs. Well, seems hes got a bit of a problem with drinking and driving. Hes just had another incident recently. Totally agree with you, Mr Reinsdorf, the incident occurred prior to him being our manager so it doesnt make a difference. Thanks.

Youre probably right. I just dont want them to miss this chance for Larussa to possibly ruin this team. Itll be a shame if we dont get to see them potentially shoot themselves in their collective dicks.
