I've been saying that all along, actually. Prospects are great, but by most accounts the Sox player development infrastructure still blows. Talent usually wins out in the end, but I wouldn't bet on a high % of these guys hitting their respective ceilings at the same time. The Cubs and Astros rebuilds were pretty unique in that they focused on position players and not pitching, so I think people have unrealistic expectations if they expect the Sox to start competing right away. Most of their young hitters, Moncada aside, are still years away, and the vast majority of their pitchers may be better suited for the pen. Bottom line is Hahn has done a great job restocking their farm system, but a ton of work still needs to be done before that talent translates into major league success.

They're going to be really good. I feel pretty sure of this. But I'm not sure I give much of a shit anymore.

I tend to agree, while prospects will fizzle out, I think they'll end up being very good in 4-5 years.

I'd also bet they will be pretty good given the sheer volume of talent they have collected, but yeah, who cares? In 3-4 years a lot can happen in baseball. Who would have predicted back in 2014 that the Cubs were only 2 years away from not only making the WS but actually winning the whole thing.

Chicago would explode.
Here's a question for you guys since I haven't seen the Sox since they were in Comisky and that was for a fairly stupid television show I was in when I was a 6th grader (long story).
The food is supposed to be really good in that place? I've now heard this from multiple people. Not like it matters that much but I'm curious, does anyone know if there's any truth to that?

I know I'd probably feel different if I actually lived in Chicago, but I've never given two fucks about the White Sox. I mean, they could win the World Series this year and I'd feel no different than if let's say, the Blue Jays won it.

One interesting tidbit about the food is that the same organization, Levy Restaurants, runs and have run the food for both Wrigley and Comisky/US Cell/Guaranteed Rate Field for years. The White Sox traditionally have better food than Wrigley. Wrigley's food has dramatically improved over the last 5 years no clue as to if the White Sox food has improved. My understanding is that Tribune, and then Zell, preferred not to mess with the menu beyond traditional ballpark concessions.
