I'm really rooting for the new Sox announcer, as he went to my high school, but listening to him talk about Garcia and Palka coming up against the Reds in extra innings like they are Gehrig and Ruth is really something to behold. 

 

Extra innings, Sox have men on first and second with 1 out, and the count goes 2-0 on Avasail Garcia, and Benetti immediately wonders if Riggleman will wet his pants and intentionally walk him (again, no open bases) rather than face his wrath. Needless to say he didn't, and needless to say, he struck out. 

I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

Benetti seems like a good guy who doesnt take himself very seriously. Breath of fresh air compared to Harrelson, but he has a lot of Chip Caray in him. Gets overly excited about trivial things, and still seems like a baseball noob.
