White Sox
Uh-Oh

I'm not worried. Neither "Eloy" nor "Gleybar" are real names.

I don't see Frazier or Robertson netting them Torres, but Hahn seems to have a knack for this.

Supposedly Kahnle included and the Sox were asking the highest price for him.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

If this is true, then clearly no Gleyber.

They'll probably end up flipping Clippard.

Rutherford has a ton of potential, but that's pretty much it for the Sox impact trade chips, right?

I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

It's possible they'll sell high on Garcia, but yeah, that's likely it for them unless they decide to unload Aubreu at some point.

Trade official and Sox are calling up Moncada so Cubs will see him next week.

I have to say, I've never seen a team stockpile such a massive amount of big prospects.

Certainly not a Chicago team.

How are they not supposed to be a really good team in 2 years?  That's not going to be fun to see.

Met a husband (Cubs) and wife (Sox) couple at airport on Sunday.  Don't know how but they seem to make it work.  At least she told me she wanted to Cubs to win it last year.

The poor guy also has a in-laws who are huge Cardinals/Packers fans.

Hahn has done a great job of turning a meddling MLB team with some talent into a great collection of prospect talent - most likely at least on paper better than the Cubs were able to get for their meddling MLB talent. We don't know how many Arrieta-like stories are in the group that the Sox have acquired but Arrieta was not necessarily a top prospect who just needed development time which appears to be the majority of the Sox prospects.

A loaded group of prospects doesn't necessarily equate to a future winning MLB squad. Doesn't hurt and Cubs and Astros have demonstrated that tanking works in baseball but prospects don't always pan out. One significant factor which people aren't discussing is the Cubs focused on revamping their approach, resources, and minor league organization so prospects had a better route to development. Perhaps the Sox prospects are further developed than most prospects and their minor league organization is better than where the Cubs were so it's not an issue but don't underestimate the work the Cubs did to better ensure and support prospects' development.
