He was fantastic in his last few starts with the White Sox last season. Is he historically a slow starter?
Given the fact that our starting rotation appears to be our strength, I think you're right -- we didn't need to give up the farm to get Peavy. I don't think he's any better than Z, Demp, or Lilly. If we're going to sell the farm for a starting pitcher, it better be for someone like Halladay.
