Glad we didn't go after him. I was interested in that idea the last couple of years. And yeah, huge, huge loss. Add in their new park... I don't think they're going to be all that good this year. If there's one team that always played to their park, it was this team.
I've gotten into a bunch of arguments about this recently, but I really think the Tigers are the team to beat in the AL Central. I don't think the Granderson loss is nearly as big as most people do, and think Damon at least matches his production at the plate. Lots of good young arms on that team now, and they really improved the bullpen(ex: Valverde). They should still be able to score enough, even with a lot of questionable young players in the lineup.
