I was listening to the oldies, Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, Twisted Sister and Van Halen back in the early 80s. I'm not saying that I hated the Michael Jacksons or Duran Durans of the day, but they just weren't my favorites even at 6 or 7 years old. I discovered Punk and Metal in the mid to late 80s, when the glory days were already over. I always wished that I could have been 5 years older, just to be able to experience the punk and post-punk era first hand.
