Actually, I think the Cubs are in a much better position than last year, should Ramirez miss time. Apparently we have Castro who is on the verge of being MLB ready and we have Baker now instead of Miles. An injury to Ramirez could enable the Cubs to slide Baker to 3B, Theriot to 2B, and Castro to SS, with Fontenot being a super-sub.

I guess I'm still just not sold that Castro could do much at the major league level yet. I haven't seen him play much, but he made a lot of errors and a .740 OPS in A-ball doesn't really scream out major league ready, especially when he is 19.
Baker would be better than Miles though, for sure.
