I'm actually glad. I don't want a meaningless September. I want to win...we probably won't but winning doesn't have to be about maintaining a lead. Sure, it's easier to be a Cards fan right now. Easy is nice. This is what being a Cubs fan is...sticking with a team that never does it easy.

It's baseball...it's not my soul. I don't have to stop caring when the odds are long to protect myself. I can handle disappointment. I've been handling it for 40 years. If I couldn't..I couldn't make myself care in April. Why sould it be so hard to care in August?
