CC to NYY?

<!--quoteo(post=3356:date=Dec 10 2008, 11:32 AM:name=CD2W)-->QUOTE (CD2W @ Dec 10 2008, 11:32 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Teams need to take the Hendry approach. Buy low, expect high and get high, i.e the signings of Lilly, Edmonds, and Johnson. Throwing out overpaid contracts doesn't work, i.e. Soriano, and like you guys said, Zito and Hampton.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I'd say there are more overpriced contracts that have worked out then haven't. That's the price you have to pay to get the best players to play for you. There's no way we would have got Soriano if we were offering 3 years or if we weren't willing to give him a NTC.
