Yep. I'd so much rather have in Gregg it's not even close. I can handle giving up homers. Throw 20 meatballs and not more than a couple are going to leave the yard. BUT FUCKING WALKS KILL YOU IN THE 9TH INNING.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I love you, Clapp. You're right on, as usual.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I was coming on to say the exact same thing. I'll live with the HR's, I can't handle the walks.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
You know, I'm not sure if I agree with this. I mean, Marmol walks a ton of guys, but he also doesn't give up many hits or HRs....I mean, a walk isn't a guaranteed run, but a HR sure is.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
But it's not like it's easy to hit home runs, and when you're dealing with a 3 run lead, make them hit the ball. When you walk a couple guys like Marmol does, all it takes is one mistake then and boom, 3-run homer. I'll dare them to hit a few homers. But still, it's not like Gregg's been <i>only</i> throwing meatballs anyway. He had allowed just 9 hits and 1 homer in 16 innings coming into the last 2 games.

I haven't done the research but I would like to see how many 1 run games gregg has saved
