I think what I meant was this: whether the Sox win or lose that day has ZERO effect on the NL Central standings. However, a Carp PG that turned a loss to a win has a huge effect on the Cub's chance of making the playoffs. So if Carp had thrown one, I'd be pissed.
Buerhle's PG was merely a sideshow, and doesn't affect the Cubs at all.

look dude, i don't like either of those scenarios. why does it have to be either or? why can't i want neither to happen? why can't i just hate both teams? why do i have to justify it? it is what it is.
