But man...Zimmerman just missed a grand slam -- I know his fly ball didn't make it to the warning track, but he hit it hard. Then he goes full to Dunn and walks him, to load up the bases. Then he goes full on Willingham, coming dangerously close to walking in a run before he grounded out -- also a pretty hard hit ball. Really thin ice.
The bottom of the 9th was significantly prettier and less stressful, but he was facing Willie Harris, Alberto Gonzalez, and Wil Nieves.
I don't hate Kevin Gregg, and again, it isn't easy to get a 5-out save and he came into a really difficult situation. So I feel a little bad about being critical about his outing last night when he got the job done.
All I'm saying is that he doesn't inspire a whole lot of confidence in me. He seems to go deep in a lot of counts and record a lot of "loud" outs even when he's effective.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
My thoughts exactly. He just doesnt have a pitch to put batters away.
