I still like Sammy. My interest in baseball was waning in the 90s after the strike and after years and years of absolute Cubs suckage. Sammy brought my interest level back to where it was before. He brought it back to '84 levels, when I was a kid and I thought the Cubs would make the playoffs every year. He was the most potent offensive force that any of us have ever seen on the Cubs, and probably ever will see. Was he juicing? Probably. But so were 90+ percent of the pitchers he took deep 60 times a season.
And do we know for sure it was steroids? Not that it matters, but it's what the title of the thread says. I thought the report was a "banned substance" or some shit.
