I'm with you. It's not my money and 1-2 mil per year, isn't going to mean shit in the long run. I think Bradley was Hendry's target all along and he got him, all you can really ask for.

Except that 1-2 mil clearly means *something* -- at least this season -- as we're currently forced to pinch every penny right now to get deals done.

If he were making 2-3 million per year too much like Marquis and Strap were, then I guess I'd be pissed about it. At the same time, I'm more angry about the 10-12 million per of dead weight that we're paying for in the form of Fuk than Bradley. I'm not saying that the deal is a bargain, but sometimes you have to pay up.

And I don't disagree that. It's the fact that Ibanez and Burrell, 2 guys that could decline in that time but at least we'll play about everyday and produce solid numbers no matter what are getting the same deals or less. I bet you're right about the Nats, and I certainly can't see Milton being one to give a nice fair deal just because he wants to play somewhere.
It's also like somebody else said... look who we are. If we're any other franchise, I might not be as worried about this. It didn't work out for him in Montreal, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego, and it's all of a sudden going to be fine on the Chicago fucking Cubs? When has anything like this EVER worked in our favor? Between his injury history, his anger issues, and the fact that we get less good breaks than any sports franchise ever, I can't see this working out too well.
