Last season for Bradley at the end of April:
.118/.333/.294, .627 OPS
He's doubled his BA but everything else is pretty much in line with 1 year ago. At this rate he will be out of baseball by the fall.

In July and August of last year, he had an OPS of about .900, so I think it's premature to think that he's toast as a hitter.

I guess we'll see. His OPS is down over 200 points since he left the Rangers.

I know it's premature to conclude anything, but the trend isn't good. If it were just an oddball month here or there, it would be one thing, but he just seems to have lost it in several categories (power mostly). Maybe he's getting to the age where he will always be a slow starter, but who knows?

Maybe his stats are racist.

I haven't stopped. We have no consistency at all and Lou benches guys when they are hitting the ball. I have no idea why Geo was not in the lineup tonight, it makes no sense to me.

Now we can't even hit shitty pitching.

Coming into this game, the Pirate had a record of 0-5, ERA of 12.50. Small sample size, yeah, but WTF!?

We haven't been able to hit shitty pitching in years...it is called the "Casey Daigle effect".

Good point; the last time this Pirate starter faced us, he shut out out. Really.
If the Cubs were the only team in the league, he'd be Pedro-1999.

I said it a week ago, and I'll say it again... ARAM should be benched for an entire series in favor of Tracy at 3rd. The last time Tracy started, he responded with a 3-4, 3 runs, 2 RBI... ARAM hasn't done that in most SERIES this season. Tracy is a bit short in the glove, but we need OFFENSE. I'd also give Nady at least 1 start a week at 1st. The hitting at #3-4 has been pathertic, between ARAM and Lee. Admittedly Lee looks to be coming around some, but ARAM is NOT hittting. With our pitching, we should be 5-7 games over .500 so far, not striving for .500 on the season. I don't care about his contract or his ego, if a dude doesn't hit for over a month, he's earned some bench time. Period.

I don't hate this team. I just don't understand them. That said, don't expect much from them, and you won't be disappointed. Who really expected much of an improvement from last season? This is what aging teams do, gradually decline into mediocrity.
