Someone has to be the boogeyman of baseball, I guess. Now, he is also Kanye, who clearly doesn't deserve his douchey reputation either.

What is with ESPN and the Mariners?
We get daily Bradley stories, and the M's are also on the cover of their magazine.

Everyone's on their knob because of the offseason they had. Signed Figgins, locked up King Felix and Gutierrez, traded for Lee.

After 1964, Brock played another 15 years of baseball for the turds and was an all star for 6 of those years. Broglio played 2 more years for the Cubs and won a total of 3 games after 1964.
Not did the Turds win the WS but Brock played well for a long time and Ernie Broglio just sucked dick.
To get back to the point, Milton Bradley is a racist, spoiled, prick.

I didn't say Brock wasn't better than Broglio. I didn't say Brock wasn't any good. I just said he's overrated.

The funny thing about Brock is he sucked with the Cubs. He was sucking when they traded him, but as soon as he put on the Cardinal uniform, he became a star.

FWIW, I agree that Brock is overrated. But he's overrated in a "he's barely HOF-worthy," kind of way, not in a "he sucked ass" kind of way. Who knows what would have happened if he'd stayed in Chicago, but if everything else had stayed the same, it's possible, if not likely, that the Cubs would have won the pennant in one or two of the following years: 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972.
That era of the team was a great team. They lacked speed, a leadoff hitter, and a solid 3rd outfielder; thus, Lou would have fit in extremely well.
Still, you can play coulda shoulda woulda with any team. Bad trades, bad signings...all part of the game.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
