If you mean opening day, that's not true

Saturday Fox and Sunday night ESPN are the only exclusive contracts. Other than that a team can show any game on their own station, cable or otherwise.

well Ricketts owns a share of Comcast chicago. Wgn is tribune owned. Ricketts is going to want to put more games on his channel.
