Yep. If the Brewers really think that they are going to compete this year they just made a horrible move. Terrible.

Hometown offer for the hometown boy. I wouldn't be surprised if he takes it. Good for them, D.C. needs a contending team.

They are still a 90 loss team with Texeira. Their rotation is horrid.

Welp, that makes 2 of you that are wrong then.

Oh and apparently this deal isn't done yet and might not get done. The Brewers want more in return for Cameron.

I'd love for the Brewers to hang on to a guy that will be 36, strikes out 160 times, and isn't the centerfielder he used to be. He misplayed a shitload of flyballs last year. He also did jackshit against us:
12-51, 2 2B, 0 3B, 0 HR, 5 RBI, 16 K

I hope the trade doesn't go through so we can strike him out 30 times this year. It's nice facing him and Bill Hall as automatic outs back to back.

Who cares about Cabrera? They're getting rid of Cameron and his 10 million bucks. Law was just talking about him on espnews too, saying how he's completely unable to hit breaking balls anymore. The AL East pitchers will eat him up, just like ours did. The Brewers have enough homer every once in awhile but strike out a couple times a game guys.

That's true, for $22-23MM they could get a some B+ FAs like Sheets, Furcal, and Griffey or whoever. But this at least shows that they have showed at least some sort of intent to spend. It's a start.

Cole Hamels called the Mets choke artists:
<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->In an interview on WFAN today with Joe Beningo and Evan Roberts, Hamels was promoting the Phillies' World Series DVD when he was asked outright, "Do you think the Mets are choke artists?"

"Last year and this year I think we did believe that [they were choke artists]," he said. "Three years ago we didn't because they smoked everybody, and I think we all thought they were going to win it all. Unfortunately that didn't happen. But, yeah, that's kind of what we believed and I think we're always going to believe that until they prove us wrong.

"For the past two years they've been choke artists."<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.
