I bet he doesn't get traded this season.

Sounds like Haren could become available before the deadline as well.

Pedro's first start will be Wednesday night against us. I'm hoping this is a good thing, and we can rock his ass.

Well, he almost certainly will be on a limited pitch count so even if he's dominating us, I doubt he goes past 5 innings.

Will he bring his personal midget? That could factor into his effectiveness.

I feel like I heard that Pedro's midget passed away. I'm not sure why that information is taking up space in my brain...

Sadly, you are correct. Nelson, aka Mahow, is no more.

We're facing a guy who has hardly pitched at all this year, sucked last year, and comes in with a 5-something ERA in the minors. We sure as hell better rock his ass.

(BTW, this is meant as no disrespect to Pedro himself, who, in his 1999-2000 prime, put up the best back-to-back pitching seasons in the history of the sport.)

But we better rock his ass.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

You're probably right. And you know why? Cause we're too right handed.

Seriously, I think we'll score runs tonight. But do you have any sort of faith in the bullpen at this point? I mean we need a 4 run cushin (How the fuck do you spell that word?) going into the 8th or I'm terrified.

Cushion. Our starter scares me tonight more then the bullpen.

Our starter IS bullpen. Lou's turning over the whole game to the pen. Our best hope is Shark walks the bases loaded in the first and gets the hook...then someone pitches out of the jam and we start over.

We 3-hit those bastards last night and STILL lost. I don't like our chances, even against an ancient Pedro.

I'm starting Pedro in 2 of my fantasy leagues. He'll most certainly dominate us. Shark didn't look that bad pitching on Friday; unfortunately, it was already a lost cause by the time he was in the game.
