Cards apparently get Holliday
Cardinals lose
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

Pujols, Holliday, and Lugo all had 0fers. Pujols had a walk.

Bud Norris' first start. Line: 7 IP 2 H 0 R 4 BB 5 SO

Had a no-no broken up by Wainwrong in the 6th.

At least this happened. Hopefully Johan brings it next game. I just want this road trip to end already.

I just watched the highlights of tonight's Mets-Cards fiasco. For the first time all year, i am legitimately scared of the Cards. It seems like freaking yesterday when Pujols not only had no protection, it was like he was on an island. Now their 2-3-4-5 is DeRosa, Pujols having the best season of his career, Holliday on fire, and a suddenly hot Ludwick.

That's a serious gauntlet to run for any pitcher. I hate this.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

I've been worried for awhile and am now looking as much at the WC race as I am the division.

Their next 10 games are 1 at the Mets, 3 at the Pirates(Carp & Wainwright going), 3 vs. the Reds, 3 vs. the Padres(Carp & Wainwright going). That's why I'm so freaking pissed about tonight.

The Cardinals seem to play to the competition almost as much as the Cubs do though.

They're different teams now though. The Cubs for example are 12-1 against sub-.500 teams since the break.

That is all.
Fat Bastard is an immensely obese, hardly able to walk (weighing a metric ton) gardener and henchman hailing from Scotland. His extreme size endows Fat Bastard with super-human strength as exhibited by his prowess in the Sumo ring from Goldmember. This makes him a formidable enemy for Austin Powers. Fat Bastard is noted for his foul temper, his frequent flatulence, his vulgar and revolting bad manners and his unusual eating habits, which include taste for Human infants (which he calls "the other other white meat") or anything that looks like a baby, e.g. small people. Fat Bastard has been a regular at Cub games since the early 80's when he tried several times (unsuccessfully) to eat the visiting San Diego Chicken.

We gave them too much confidence in the first half by playing shitty.

Niese was doing well against the Cards, then did the splits and had to be carried off the field. Yesterday Luis Castillo was avoiding a glove in the dugout and hurt his hamstring. The Mets are incredible. Their team is by far the biggest circus of the 2009 season. Anyway, Mets lead 2-0, but Figueroa is in who allowed like 10 hits in 1 2/3 just a couple nights ago. Cards continue to get breaks left and right.

Figueroa all over Ankiel's face. Ankiel dives, misses, 2-run triple for the pitcher. 4-0 Mets.
