I don't like giving up Ascanio, but I love the move. Hart is a bit of an iffy piece, to me, and Gorzelanny is smoking AAA and only 27. Plus, while I don't like taking on middle relief by way of trade, we've essentially traded relief for relief and picked up a young lefty starter in the mean time.

Grabow will replace Hart on the 25 man roster.
Gorzelanny is going to go to Iowa, but could be activated to start next Tuesday in Cincy.

I like the trade just fine. I'm in the minority, but i think Hart is going to be a solid contributor at this level. Hell, he's won his last 3 games for us and has a 2.60 ERA. He was also extremely good out of the pen two years ago after his call-up. I like what we got, but I also think the Pirates got good value in return. I could see both Hart and Ascanio being solid MLB contirbutors. I don't know much of anything about Harrison.

I could care less about this trade.
And Coldneck, Hart is all smoke and mirrors

Gorz looks like John Krikfalusi drew him.

Josh Harrison is pretty damn good, so he factors into the calculus. Still, I like the trade.

I don't hate the trade, just Gorzelanny, as a person.

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->"We've been talking about Grabow for a while and we've been getting good reports from our scouts about Gorzelanny getting back to where he was," Hendry said.
Now a Cub scout, Dave Littlefield was the Pirates' GM when Gorzelanny was at his best and "feels he's headed that way again," according to Hendry.
"He seemed like the happiest guy on the planet," Hendry said of Gorzelanny, an Evergreen Park native and Marist High School product. "We've always liked him. He was really good a couple of years ago and then he got off track for a while."'<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
