Minor League Roundup
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we see Cashner with the big club at some point this season.
The thing you need to remember is that all Cardinals fans and all White Sox fans are very bad people. It's a fact that has been scientifically proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. Being a Cubs fan is the only path to rightousness and piousness. Cardinal and White Sox fans exist to be the dark, diabolical forces that oppose us. They are the yin to our yang, the Joker to our Batman, the demon to our angel, the insurgence to our freedom, the oil to our water, the club to our baby seal. Their happiness occurs only in direct conflict with everything that is pure and good in this world.

I would. He hasn't exactly cruised through the ranks like I thought he would and there's a lot of guys in line ahead of him like Stevens, Parker, Gaub, and Maestri.

I am not saying that it will happen, but I doubt any of those guys would prevent Cashner from a September call-up.

I think Parker and Stevens easily could. Stevens has a big reputation and Parker has somehow flown under the radar and while putting up filthy numbers on a quick trip through the minor league system. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/pitching/...rker.shtml

All of those guys are above Cashner in the system. It wouldn't exactly blow my mind if Cashner was brought up before some/most of those guys, I would be fairly shocked if he beat all of them to the majors.
Reply
What I am saying is that those guys are only September callup quality and won't block each other.
Cashner's development will decide if he is brought up in September and not someone's level.

Honestly, I doubt we see him this year because they seem to be bringing him along slowly (after stating how quickly we might see him when he was drafted.)

I have to agree with Ace. It is much easier to come here and just look for the scores. Keep it up Kid, I appreciate it.

BTW, I am excited to see Vitters tomorrow. I am taking our camera and our high zoom lense, I am hoping to get some sweet pics.

Also, Shark with another good outing.....what do you think he would fetch in a trade?
