Butch, you're telling me that you wouldn't be elated to see Fuk put up a .360 OBP?
I didn't say I wouldn't be pleased with that. But my left nut? I reserve donating either of my boys for hardware -- like a World Series trophy -- not for something like adding .20 to Fukudome's OBP.

I'll be very surprised if Fuk doesn't put up an OBP of at least .360

I'm at the point where I'd be shocked if he puts up an OBP as high as .330.

Dirkie three-nuts sounds like the name of a Mafia guy.

I think I am about as optimistic as it gets with the Cubs, and I never could have imagined him starting the season as he has.

Yes it does...but I will give him a pass on that ball in the 9th inning, even some of the best CFers in baseball have trouble with balls hit directly at them.

I'm willing to give him a little more time to adjust to CF. He didn't have time to learn the position this spring, and only played part time at the WBC. If he keeps hitting, I'm fine with him out there.

I'm stunned. In a happy way. And I'm not even going to bitch about "small sample size, it's only 1 week, blah, blah..." because I didn't think Fuk could ever again put up a good week of hitting. This gives me great hope for the future.

Bingo.
We didn't get him in ST until the last week of March, so it's not like Soriano in '07.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.
