Peavy is getting lit up tonight. 5-0 Puerto Rico in the bottom of the 2nd....

EDIT:

6-0.......6 runs on 6 hits, 2 walks, no strikeouts.

EDIT:

Finally got out of the inning with a K, but his fastball looks like a meatball tonight.

Pathetic...
The US will never win this tournament unless they start getting guys who play to win for their country with the passion of the everyone else. This is embarrassing. And not so much on paper, because Team USA could be way better if players actually played rather than skipping it (i.e. Teixeira, Sabbathia, Berkman, Howard, Lincecum, Utley ,etc.).
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

The players you named don't get paid by the World Baseball Classic. They get paid by the Yankees, Astros, Phillies, etc.....and MILLIONS of dollars at that). Why should they play in an exhibition that when it comes down to it really is meaningless? Does anyone really care who wins this thing? Japan won the first one...did anyone outside of Japan give a shit? I do not fault these guys for skipping the WBC.

Agreed. For as much as Bud would like it to be, this isn't the Olympics or the World Cup.

It's how he looked in the few times I watched him last year too. His stuff doesn't look nearly as good as it did 2 years ago.

Fuk's batting against the nasty Cuban dude Chapman. Game on espn2.

Japan's walked twice this inning, and been picked off twice this inning.

Fuk k's looking after 7 or 8 pitches.
