The likelyhood of Peavy
BTW, with DeRo and his hot wife gone, who IS going to play RF for 60 games next year?
Fuk? Micah?
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

Probably some combination of Fuk/Johnson/Gathright/Hoff.

I just refuse to get my hopes up. This isn't looking like a strong possibility anymore, so right now he's just a luxury.

I could see us adding him at the deadline. Of course, more teams will probably be interested in picking him up at that point.

He's still have to approve the trade.

Yeah that's one of the huge bonuses for us, he has been very stingy with his no trade clause, he doesn't want to play in the AL and he wants to come here, so anytime they make him available we are gonna have the best chance.

I thought that we were closer to $140 million than the $130 million dickweed was suggesting in that article.

We're around $137-138 right now. I doubt Sullivan has ever added up the salaries himself. That would require actual work on his part. He's been repeating that 130 number since the offseason began.

In a radio interview today, Peavy claims he never wanted to be traded and "is dang glad to be a Padre".

I don't know if this means the reports of him wanting out were media generated or if he's spinning things for the fan base but this is a clear 180 from what we were hearing most of the offseason.
