MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Was kind of hoping we would land Sierra, but that's a very steep price for a guy with limited success and soon to be 25.

I anti-Yasiel, on principle.

He is Yaisel (not a typo), which I'm sure will make the clubhouse dynamic even more fun now.

Parra to the Rockies

Chen to the Marlins

So now I wonder what Rockies outfielder gets moved and where.

Feels like after Heyward everything slowed down to a snails pace.

Hoping the Cards don't land CarGo now, but if they do best case scenario is that they overpay with young pitching including Marco Gonzales, and then CarGo ends up on the DL for the remainder of his contract.

At this point I'm going to have to assume many of those characters are trolling BFS, but it's still pretty great.

Wanna lay money on that?

The Cardinals are already scrubbing the odiousness away from the page.

I said "many" not "all" so don't quite see how my statement is even possible to prove or disprove. Anyway, the more time you spend on Twitter it gets harder and harder to tell the trolls apart from the troglodytes.

I suppose you can follow through to the home FB pages of the individual posters, unless you buy the idea that people are going to the length to set up elaborate fake accounts just to write xenophobic comments on the Cardinals' FB page.

They definitely do so on Twitter. I don't really have the stomach for FB though, so I'll take your word for it.

It's going to be hard to make fun of Sox broadcasts from this point forward.

It's been so nice to not have to pay any attention to that team.

Isn't it kind of strange that he's half retiring but he chose to do all the away games? I assumed the constant traveling and hotel living would be the shitty part.

I think he lives in South Bend and the commute is not a lot of fun. Making it to the airport for road trips is probably easier...especially if he gets a limo in. Does he golf? He probably enjoys golf on the road.

Also, I assume his home life is not the least bit amicable.

Choosing to work away games may be the smartest move Hawk has made in years.  Working road games allows Hawk to avoid the fans, the team, the ambiance of US Cell.
