MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
Any time one of the division championships is going to be a lot easier to lock down than the second wild card spot, that's kind of messed up..

If things hold, this will be the 3rd time it's happened in 6 seasons with 2 WCs per league.

2015:

Cubs (NLWC2) 97-65

Dodgers (NL West) 92-70

Mets (NL East) 90-72

2012:

Orioles/Rangers (ALWC 1/2) 93-69

Tigers (AL Central) 88-74
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

It isn't often you hear about non-pitchers needing TJS.

Feeling much better about the Chapman trade now........

Some boner on one of the fan graphs chats asked if Sullivan thought Theo was regretting not picking up Miller for Schwarber and having traded for Chapman given how this season has played out so far.  It truly is Trump's world we're living in.

On non throwing arm. There's some silver lining.

I don't think it really matters.  Probably wouldn't effect his arm strength anyway and either way the loss is losing a season.

I think their top pitching prospect also went down with TJ surgery this season. Rotten luck

Gosh I feel terrible for the Yankees.

Yeah, throwing arm or not, wouldn't it also affect his hitting? Wasn't there another high profile TJS case recently (Ryan Zimmerman? Don't recall who it was) where it took several years post-op before he returned to form?

I don't wish injury on anyone.  Kind of sucks to see a young guy like Torres get hurt on a freak thing like that.

I got nothin'.
