I caught the first leg of the tour last month with Testament in place of Anthrax. It was like a time warp back to 1990, especially since all 3 bands played their albums released around that time in their entirety (ie Rust In Peace/Seasons In the Abyss/whatever crap Testament put out then). Excellent show, though I wished that they had come through town with Anthrax instead, who are touring with their old lead singer from their glory days.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. These bands were at the crux of my metal kick. I know Metallica isn't nearly the same anymore, but I loved them too back in the day.

Used to listen to Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer all the time.

IE is garbage, chrome and firefox are much better... just to try:

I tried firefox last time I had this issue with the same results. And I disagree, I prefer IE8 to the alternatives. I know many don't but I do...and I'm well aware of it's supposed shortcomings.

Are you on Windows 7 or Vista? The IE9 beta is actually pretty spiffy, and that's coming from a guy that has been using Firefox exclusively for the last 6+ years

Great show. We managed to miss the entire Anthrax set because the guy I went with realized he had left the tickets at home after we were an hour and 15 minutes into the trip. Fortunately he managed to get his mom to meet us half way. Megadeth was great with Ellefson back on bass. Mustaine has the same mane he did 20 years ago. Slayer kicked ass. Unfortunately I'm too old, fat and with bad knees and too much sensibility or I may have hit the pit. Definitely put on a good show. Caught a glimpse on one of the fiercest mullets I've ever laid eyes on.

band of horses tomorrow night anyone?

Concerts & Shows - Jody - 10-19-2010

Sorry but I've got plans to watch a flock of seagulls tonight, maybe next time.

They got the hair back together?

Concerts & Shows - veryzer - 10-19-2010

Call me gay, but the Seagulls were a good band for a while.

I Ran (So Far Away) is still a kickass song.

Concerts & Shows - rok - 10-19-2010

I'm not familiar with any of their other songs, but that is a great pop tune. Did they even release many albums after that one big hit, and did anyone care?

"Spaceage Love Song", "The More You Live, The More You Love", "Nightmares", "Transfer Affection" and a handful of others were minor hits for the band.

Check out their greatest hits album. It's solid for that era and that kind of music.

Concerts & Shows - biggz - 10-19-2010

Getting into a police chase in GTA: Vice City and then have "I Ran" come on the in-game radio was always a fun time.

Concerts & Shows - Mikey - 10-19-2010

Last concert I went to was a Blue Meanies/Annil8 concert in Charleston, IL over 10 years ago

Concerts & Shows - phan - 10-20-2010

BoH was awesome last night. They came out and played the first two songs in acoustic duo form from the stage-right balcony at the Riv and fucking killed Evening Kitchen off their new album and no one's gonna love you off cease to begin. It was a great way to start a show and get the crowd into it from the getgo.

Then the rest of the band came out and they proceeded to rip through a dream set for me.
