Minor League Roundup - kbwsb - 04-17-2009

What's funny is that Soto really does look like he has got his feelings hurt in that pic. Either that, or right on the verge of being pissed.

Lil Bob is 4 for 7 so far in Peoria. Small sample size obviously, but good to see him start well.

Minor League Roundup - Scarey - 04-18-2009

Damn, nice starts by Coleman, McDaniel, and Archer. Only 1 walk for Archer is a miracle. I wonder if he was pitching to contact cause he only had 3 Ks.

Kyler Burke homered! Whoohoo! I knew that Barrett trade would pay off.

Minor League Roundup - kbwsb - 04-19-2009

Gee, do you think Vitters is a little strong for A-ball?
Hitting .423, and tonite was a homer short of hitting for the cycle.
Glad to see it.

I wonder if they want him to play some games in cold weather? He is from Cally was in short season last year, and all of the higher levels than Iowa (which he is not ready for) are all in much warmer spring locations.

Plus lets not forget he was hurt last week and it is still very early in the season. I want to see how he is doing at about the middle of June. If he continues to rake, I could see them maybe skipping Daytona and sending him to Tennessee. I really hope that this kid is the real deal and becomes our replacement for DLee.

That is one of the finer points ever made on this board.

I'm not sure what makes you say that. He's pitched well so far and I've had high hopes for him, but he's pitched 6.1 innings this year to the tune of 2.84 ERA and 4 strikeouts. Is it just cause he's a converted position player?
