I've never seen his name before. He is 24 years old which is quite old for A ball, but he does have 17 K to 1 BB ratio through 26.1 innings. i noticed he was drafted by Seattle. Did we get him as a throw-in in the Cedeno/Heilman trade?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> We actually signed him from an Indy league earlier this month Minor League Roundup - Kid - 07-29-2009 <b>July 28:</b> <!--c1-->CODE<!--ec1--> R H E Iowa (52-51) 2 7 0 Omaha (42-60) 5 12 1 WP: Brandon Duckworth (3-5) LP: Casey Fossum (2-3) SV: Greg Holland (1) HR: IOW - John-Ford Griffin (4); OMA - Travis Metcalf (9), Tug Hulett (6) Fossum: GS, 5.0 IP, 5 R, 5 ER (5.40 ERA), 5 H, 3 BB, 3 K, HBP Jason Dubois: 2-4 (.313), 2B (20), K Sam Fuld: 2-5 (.284), 3B (10), 2 R<!--c2--><!--ec2--> <!--c1-->CODE<!--ec1--> R H E Tennessee (14-17) Mobile (15-16) (PPD/Rain)<!--c2--><!--ec2--> <!--c1-->CODE<!--ec1--> R H E Daytona (15-15) 2 5 1 Sarasonta (14-18) 3 8 3 WP: Steven Otterness (1-0) LP: Luke Sommer (2-4) Craig Muschko: GS, 6.0 IP, 0 R, 0 ER (3.64 ERA), 3 H, 0 BB, 5 K Sommer: 1.2 IP, 1 R, 0 ER (2.28 ERA), 2 H, 0 BB, 3 K Luis Flores: 2-4 (.205), 2B (3)<!--c2--><!--ec2--> <!--c1-->CODE<!--ec1--> R H E Peoria (16-15) 2 12 0 Dayton (14-17) 1 5 0 WP: Ryan Buchter (3-0) LP: Aguido Gonzalez (0-4) SV: Christopher Huseby (13) HR: DTN - Byron Wiley (11) Justin Bristow: GS, 5.0 IP, 2 R, 2 ER (4.36 ERA), 6 H, 1 BB, 4 K, HBP Rebel Ridling: 2-4 (.281), 3B (1), RBI (68), R Ryan Flaherty: 2-5 (.247), R, 3 K<!--c2--><!--ec2--> <!--c1-->CODE<!--ec1--> R H E Giants (2-0) 7 10 3 Cubs (0-3) 3 7 0 WP: Jason Jarvis (1-0) LP: Carlos Rojas (1-2) Rojas: GS, 2.0 IP, 3 R, 3 ER (8.31 ERA), 4 H, 2 BB, 3 K Jordan Petraitis: 3-4 (.306), 2B (3), RBI (6), R Jesus Morelli: 2-3 (.281), RBI (7), BB, K, CS (3)<!--c2--><!--ec2--> <!--c1-->CODE<!--ec1--> R H E Reds (22-27) 7 10 4 Cubs 1 (26-22) 10 13 2 WP: Francory Pineda (1-0) LP: Carlos Contreras (3-3) SV: Adner Ruiz (5) HR: CHC - Xavier Batista (7) Melvin Rosa: GS, 3.2 IP, 1 R, 0 ER (3.41 ERA), 2 H, 3 BB, 6 K Alvaro Ramirez: 3-5 (.377), 2B (6), RBI (21), 2 R, K Yonan Fuenmayor: 2-4 (.267), 3B (1), 3 RBI (22), 2 R, BB<!--c2--><!--ec2--> <!--c1-->CODE<!--ec1--> R H E Cubs 2 (15-34) 2 4 2 Marlins (23-27) 3 7 1 WP: Kelvin Ferreira (4-2) LP: Yilver Sanchez (1-4) SV: Ramon Del Orbe (6) Amaury Paulino: GS, 3.1 IP, 1 R, 0 ER (5.32 ERA), 4 H, 3 BB, 0 K, HBP Sanchez: 4.2 IP, 2 R, 1 ER (3.74 ERA), 3 H, 1 BB, 2 K Rafael Disla: 1-3 (.281), 2B (6), R, BB, SB (14), 2 E (9)<!--c2--><!--ec2--> Minor League Roundup - Coach - 07-29-2009 Highly regarded pitching prospect Jay Jackson has been demoted to Daytona.
