Stevens has been very impressive. Sounds like they are all capable of producing at the MLB level.

It appears the Padres do. He got the save on a 4-1 Padres win in the dominican league.

I guess I should have looked a little closer at the box score.

Minor League Roundup - Coldneck - 07-24-2009

Does anyone know anything about Blake Lalli? It seems that every time I check this thread he has 3 hits.

Minor League Roundup - Jody - 07-24-2009

So would you say he has a lot of "pop"?

The only thing I know is that when prospect lists have come out, he is always one of those fringe names. Not on the list of 30 or whatever, but a "hey, watch this guy, too."

Seems like those types have done more for us than the top prospects anyway in recent years.

Very, very true. Those guys include Fox, Hart, Wells, Hoffpauir, and Fuld.

And then there's Nic Jackson, David Kelton, Jason Dubois, Andy Sisco and Bobby Brownlie.

That's my bust. I copy and paste a lot in putting these together and I copied the wrong player's name. That line score belonged to Francory Pineda, who is in the Cubs system, not Martinez, who as Andy pointed out is in the Padres system.
