Minor League Roundup - Runnys - 05-19-2009 What is Fox on pace for in RBI's....it has got to be close to 225 or so. Minor League Roundup - Mikey - 05-19-2009 Jake Fox was catching last night? Minor League Roundup - Clapp - 05-19-2009 <!--quoteo(post=38622:date=May 19 2009, 01:12 AM:name=Mikey)-->QUOTE (Mikey @ May 19 2009, 01:12 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Jake Fox was catching last night?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> Well he came up a catcher. I followed him a lot when I did draft coverage and whatnot for ITI. He was an all-big 10 catcher at Michigan, because of his bat much more than his defense though. Like everywhere on the field, he's not very good there, but he'd be our emergency catcher for sure if he were up with the team. Minor League Roundup - alpha - 05-19-2009 I am really starting to think that we don't need a 12 man pitching staff when Zambrano comes off the DL. Cotts doesn't even have 8 innings till now for crying out loud....... and we have already played 36 games. I just hate it when he comes into face one batter walks him and gets yanked. If Cotts was really doing a great job against lefties it would be a different story. Now with Ascanio, Guzman and Wells/Marshall in the bullpen we will have three pitchers who can go more than one inning almost every time they pitch. I really feel promoting Fox would not be a bad idea. To have both a LH and a RH power hitter available on the bench can do us some good late in close games..... atleast more than Cotts. So, he is much older than the competition he is playing against.
