Cubs vs Brewers
#1
Given that this is a big series (for early May, anyway), I'm giving it its own thread.

Would really love a sweep but I'd be thrilled with 2 out of 3 the way this team looked on this last road trip.

That’s the first base hit I’ve seen from Happ in what feels like a month.

Swanson needs about a week off.

Man we really need Suzuki and Belli back. The bottom of our order is brutal.

Mervis isn’t good either. Definitely Hoffpauir 2.0.

Another leadoff double stranded at 2B.

Yeah, I’m afraid he’s a AAAA hitter.

Ha, sadly a good call. Haven't heard that name in ages.

Like clockwork.

Someone has to be due for a long ball.

Swanson barely missed one. Looks like the wind isn't going to do the hitters any favors, though.

Winds are blustery

They have died down and then pick up so difficult to predict

Jesus, Nico. You've gotta make sure that's past the catcher to take 3B there. Getting to 3B with 2 outs gains you almost nothing. So fucking stupid.

Seems like he's done that a couple times this year already. Infuriating.

I haven't watched the Brewers much this year, and the wind is certainly helping, but they don't seem all that scary. Wesneski will probably instantly implode now that I've said that.

Their offense isn't at all scary, but good pitching and defense.
