Cub Game Comments

Right? Unfathomable to me as well.

Also fuck these last 2 games. I have some family going tomorrow so hopefully they get to see something resembling life from this offense.

Happ should not be hitting 3rd. Twice today he came up in a spot where Belli would’ve been ideal. The last AB of the game was a perfect example. Not only is Happ getting ABs in bigger situations, he’s also getting more ABs than our best hitter. What the fuck is Ross doing?

3 runs in 26 innings and counting. And one of those runs was on a pop up single on the infield.

Unfuckingbelievable.

We’re going to be out of a playoff spot in a few days.

Pathetic display once again by the offense. Gotta stop wasting these good starts.

Offense aside, nothing worse than losing on wild pitches

Was anyone else here aware that Ross isn’t contractually obligated to hit Happ 3rd in the lineup?

Didn’t realize it till yesterday’s game

Still batting our best hitter 4th. Great job -- give him fewer ABs; it's an excellent strategy.

Ross will ride that for eternity. I was shocked to see him actually bump Happ down.

Candy batting 8th yesterday doesn't seem optimal either. I know he hasn't been lighting the world on fire lately, but I'd still want him up over Gomes or Happ. Dude has the 2nd highest OPS and 2nd most HR on the team and he's batting 8th?

Most modern managers now bat their best hitters either 1st or 2nd. Ross has an old school mentality in a lot of ways and really doesn't know how to optimize a lineup.
