True, however, in this case, it wasn't that Tabata didn't get out away; he purposely dropped his elbow into the pitch. Now this is a savvy move and has gotten many players on base before, but it also has been caught and called before.

Ding. He didn't make any attempt to get out of the way AND dropped the elbow. The rule, while it may seem impossible to enforce at times, is still pretty clear about this type of situation.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

Um, the Diamondbacks just sent Touki Toussaint and Arroyo for a utility infielder? Really?

It saves them like $10 million, or something in that range.

OUCH! Maybe It's Time To Blow Up the White Sox. From FanGraphs:

Sounds like WLS got the Sox's radio rights starting next season. I saw reports about a month or so ago that if the Sox moved from the Score, CBS (which owns both WBBM and the Score) would move the Cubs to the Score next season.

According to this article, the CBS contract allows CBS to move the Cubs to the Score after this season only (undoubtedly because they knew their Sox deal was up).

Remember all those articles talking about how both the Cubs and Sox both had great off-seasons and were both poised to make great strides this season?
Heh.

That's good news. As much as I dislike many of the Score personalities, they clearly are enjoying the Cubs relationship. WLS is a horrible station, so let the Sox drown there with Limbaugh and others.

It might hurt short-term, but the Sox should absolutely go all-out firesale, IMO. Imagine the haul they could get for Sale alone. They aren't in a position to make a playoff run anytime soon. My guess is that they don't do it, though; which will only extend their mediocrity. Which makes me happy.
