How can you score a run if you don't get on base?

"If we all just took our walks, nobody would be scoring runs"
Actually Brandon, if you all took your walks, you'd score an infinite amount of runs

He's probably taking a dig at Brian Kenny on MLBN. I know he's a big analytics guy, almost insufferable, but I wasn't aware that he was solely responsible for the spread of sabremetrics among front offices around the league. And the best thing about the interview is that Phillips spends the whole time passive-aggressively ripping everything about Votto's game and doesn't realize it.

Dodgers sign another big-time Cuban, Hector Olivera. $62.5 mil is a lot for someone who doesn't project to be a star.

Brian Kenny is insufferable? I think he's the best guy on MLBN.

I wish he would just naturally incorporate stats into his discussions instead of making a point to run every argument through the mega-supercomputer for validation. Not everything is black and white.

I guess I don't watch him regularly enough. I prefer that to meatballness "I feel it in my baseball bones" though.

Yes, but the bases get so clogged up in between those runs. Dusty taught him too well.

And Brady Aiken had TJS.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

I guess he should have taken the reduced offer from Houston. That sucks for him. He gambled and lost.
