I'll bet that when Beckam realized how much he'd hurt Harrelson in the heart, that's when it really sunk in, what a terrible thing he'd done. I hope Hawk can let the guy know that it's a new day and that he's got a clean slate and as long as he's got TWTW, everything's gonna be ok. This has to be a really dark time for Beckham.

My only problem is that the sox went on to win that game. It kinda spoils it for me that he got to feel the slightest bit of happiness. I would have felt so much better knowing he spent the rest of his night muttering obscenities to himself.
I still prefer his premature home run call on a warning track fly. That was delicious.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

Quote:I find this blow up completely fascinating. Normally Hawk gets to scream at somebody, or the game ends. He can usually blame it on the umpire or yell at Ramirez, or cut to the end of the game, and rant and be done. But this one, it's his Golden Boy, Gordon Beckham, who Hawk claims is the best defensive second baseman in all of baseball that commits the error, so Hawk can't get mad at him. So he sits there and stews. And stews. For these reasons alone I hope he never leaves the booth. I hate the guy almost as much as the team....but there are fewer things in life I enjoy more than watching the Sox blow it, and have Hawk lose his mind on the air. I know, it's sad...but it brings a smile to my face. Like BT says, "It's so unprofessional that it's comical." The same went for Ozzie...When the Sox sucked, he didn't hold back in front of the media. It made for great theater.

Wow. That was amazing. Does Hawk not have someone he reports to? Isn't he accountable to *someone*? After that game, did anyone approach him and say something like, "You know...you're doing a bang-up job in the booth, but two minutes of you muttering to yourself on the air isn't really acceptable."?

I'm guessing that man is Kenny Williams (Sox President).

Clearly, the man is completely incompetent...but *someone* must like what he's doing.

He's got video of Kenny and Ozzie engaged in coitus while Steve watches from the closet and makes snide remarks.

Who was it that got rid of Chip Carey and Steve Stone (or at least put pressure on them to leave for questioning the Cubs organization)? I thought it was the president at that time...but I could be wrong though.

Nobody really got rid of them. Stone got sand in his vagina when Dusty didn't defend him when the players responded negatively to his criticism and decided to leave. Caray got a deal with the Braves.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

Caray got a deal with the Braves. we all backed Stone then, but looking back, the fact that he got all pissy about this whole thing should have been an indicator of what a tool he's become.
