I hope he terrorizes the White Sox from this moment on. Still kind of amusing that all he could get is a 1 year deal after a career year.

And he has to platoon.

With Geo...

Yeah, I'm not sure I could have hoped for better.

So just to get this straight. Getting AJ's cock stuck in a wood chipper is a bad thing?
As I was all for donating to the wood chipper's purchase

Butch is saying that I could have hoped for more than this...I could have hoped for his cock in a wood chipper.

Cody Ross to Diamondbacks, 3 years, $26 MM.
Another outfielder off the market but Arizona is expected to trade one of the surplus fielders. The article points to Jason Kubel being moved.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

I'd feel bad for the wood chipper.

Justin Upton to the Braves for Prado, Delgado, and a bunch of ok prospects. I suppose we were never a viable destination for Upton, but that return looks kinda low.

I predict the Diamondbacks win on this trade. I'm by no means sold on Upton.

Even though last year was very, very off...the kid has too much natural talent and ability not to be a gamechanger. That contract is cringeworthy, but if he produces in a new ballpark, the guy is 25 yrs old. The sky is the limit for him. 14MM the next two years I feel would be a good risk/reward. Instead, the Braves just moved into the NL East favorites spot and maybe even NL. They are gonna be extremely tough.

I dunno. The trade cost the Braves Prado. I still like the Nationals.

The contract is actually quite reasonable. He's only 25 and his peak years are ahead of him. Unless he falls of a cliff or has a serious drug addiction/personal problems this was a horrible trade for AZ imho. We would all be thrilled if one of Almora, Soler or Baez turned into Justin Upton.

Upton's home/road splits.

We'll have to wait and see how well Upton adapts to his new home and how much he'll miss Chase.
