I missed this, but, like, better than James Russell, no?

Absolutely, I wouldn't be surprised if we took a run at him, especially if the Garza news isn't great.

Regardless, he is no worse than Coleman or Russell.

Any pitcher who throws a 28 out perfect game, is my hero and worthy of being a Cub.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Rockies just lost De La Rosa for year. Torn UCL. Time for Tommy John.

Has Galarraga officially been released or do the Rockies still have time to pull him back?

I obviously don't know enough Royals history, cuz I had never heard of the guy. 64 is too young for anyone to go.
I got nothin'.

Even "W" knows that it's likely that A.J. Pierzynski's gonna sneak in a cheap shot.

I love how the security guy/usher did everything he could to avoid touching W.

Rafael Soriano to see Dr. James Andrews and get an MRI on his elbow. There's a 30 million dollar Yankee mistake.

Holy shit! Phillies second baseman Wilson Valdez in to pitch, and catcher Carlos Ruiz moved to third after 18 innings behind the plate. Valdez gets Votto, Bruce and a relief pitcher to fly out.

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->Amy Gutierrez of CSNBayArea.com reports that Buster Posey was diagnosed with a broken leg and torn ligaments.
Just awful. It's important to note that this information has not been confirmed by the team, but that's what we are hearing right now. Eli Whiteside will presumably take over as the primary catcher, though it will be interesting to see if the Giants make a call to former backstop Bengie Molina, who has been weighing retirement. Stay tuned for official word from the team, but it sounds like the Giants will be without Posey for an extended period of time.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

That was a Pete Rose style take out at the plate.
