Fontenot plays 2B at the MLB level and nothing else and Lou knows it.

Well if Fontenot can only play 2B, and Hudson has only ever played 2B, why are we trying to get Hudson?
Plus, isn't Miles' main position 2b too?
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

Didn't we have a similar logjam a few years ago, with Grudz and Todd Walker and couple other names I've repressed?

Pubes is probably the name you've repressed.

Hendry doesn't feel complete without at least 5 2B on the roster.

Hmmm... Can play all 4 IF positions and hits left handed... Actually, looking at his minor league fielding stats, he was brutal at SS and only played a game at 2B, nevermind

Yet you just talked about Theriot and Miles being adequate enough SS depth for this team?

Just so you get an idea of how bad Miles is at SS.

Theriot's career fielding percentage at SS: .976

Miles' career fielding percentage at SS: .958

I know that you think Theriot's defense at SS is less than mediocre, I'm interested in what you think of Miles playing there. I admittedly cannot ever remember watching Miles play shortstop, but 18 errors in 774 innings is not encouraging.

Ray Durham might retire. Says he hasn't gotten any offers.
