Pitchers And Catchers Report
I get blowing up a team, and trading guys in their prime. AFTER winning it.(Bulls) I don't always agree with it, but I get it. It's going to take one hell of year by one of these three guys from Cleveland to convince me the trade was worth it. Hell, I wouldn't even be upset if we got Victor Martinez for DeRosa. It's just the fact that we got nothing to contribute to this year's team and now have a gaping hole that is supposedly going to be filled by Aaron Fucking Miles!

exactly. they traded him in his prime.
<b>guess how many world series and ws mvps he won after he was traded.</b>

Two more than the Cubs have won in my lifetime. Remember a certain 3-homer game in the deciding game of the WS? In a Yankee uni?
Yeah, that was that Reggie guy.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->"The only problem is Marshall hasn't pitched a full season," Piniella said. "We anticipate Marshall will be the fifth starter. If some kid here wants it, or one of our three veteran guys want it, let them compete for it."

The Cubs are looking for more than a No. 5 starter.

"<b>We're going to need a sixth starting pitcher who can give us 15, 20 starts this year and maybe 25</b>," Piniella said.

That sixth man could open the season at Triple-A Iowa to allow him to stay on a starter's schedule and be stretched out, or it could be someone designated as the long man for the bullpen.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

15-25 starts is quite a wide range. Is this Lou coming out and saying that Harden is going to be used even less than after he cam over last year? Or, is this him saying that Marshall is not going to be expected to go every fifth day? Or, is it a combination of both? As it stands right now I would think that Shark would have to have a leg up in the heated competition for sixth starter. It seems that Lou has even called him the sixth starter this spring.

I'd hope they don't use Harden more than 3 times a month, despite this 25+ starts crap they've been spewing. I mean that even if he's healthy all year too. The fact that Marshall's never thrown over 125 innings is obviously a concern as well, so yeah I think it's a combination of both. I've been saying all offseason we need 6 starting pitchers, and that's why I wanted to keep Marquis and use Marshall as the #6. I agree that it will probably be Shark. I think he'll start off in Iowa so he can stay stretched out rather than being in the pen, and then we'll call him up when need be.

that was my point kb. thank you for backing me up. reggie won 2 more titles out of four and won another ws mvp. that was my whole point from the beginning.

and not only did he three home runs in that game, he hit them consecutively, off three different pitchers, all on the first pitch.

When addressed, DeRo called him out on it. So now the DeLuca gets to look like a fool for making shit up.

Let's not forget that a few weeks ago, DeLuca wrote a piece in the Suntimes and annointed Alexei Ramirez the "best baseball player in town." He's a piece of shit and is just looking for ways to piss off Cubs fans.

Please, what he writes is of no consequence to me, but just confirms how much of a biased moron he is. Just because I mentioned what he wrote about doesn't mean that I'm angry about it.
