Now the Dodgers and their "fans" can do what they did with Gagme: buy into a movement and still fail to watch the game as they wear their dreadlocks and bandannas, whilst hitting the beach ball around, cheering when the diamond vision shouts "LETS GET LOUD FOR YOUR DODGERS!" and pounding the nachos and faggerdogs.
Truth of the matter is...the Dodgers have no pitching and still won't make the playoffs.
I think they will. Kemp, Loney, Martin, and Ethier can only improve. Add in a full year of Manny, a full year of Furcal, and Hudson, that's a pretty insane lineup. It's not going to take much to win that division. The Padres and Rockies don't have a chance. The Giants are improved and they'll hang in there, but I still can't predict more than 80 wins. The Dbacks are just incredibly inconsistent and strike out more than Screech did with Lisa Turtle.

The division's weakness is their only hope though. There's no way they'd finish better than 4th in the NL East and 5th in AL East.
I think Manny going to LA hurts the Giants more than it helps the Dodgers. He would have made the Giants, and had a loooot bigger impact. Mind you, I think he'll go along way in straightening out dumbass Kemp.

4th, not 5th. The Blue Jays are going to be awful this year. You could also make a fair argument that would be the same case for any of the NL teams.

Good point. The NL East is the only respectable division, outside of the Nats.

The "Dodger fans aren't real fans" bullshit is just as ridiculous as the "lovable loser bullshit" that pisses off Cubs fans and your bringing it up just makes you look silly.

Oh well...hopefully they won't make the playoffs because I don't want Manny shitting on our faces again (no offense Gad)
That's retarded. He singlehandedly put them in the playoffs last year, he's the best hitter in baseball, and you absolutely can't give him more then a 2 year deal. He's worth every cent of this deal.

I understand what he did for the team last year, hell, he should have probably been the NL MVP. I am not saying it is a bad deal for the Dodgers, I just wish they would have sent a message to Manny and his agent and lowered the offer. I have no doubt that Manny is going to produce for them because I bet he still sees another contract in his future.

I don't see how anyone can say that the Dodgers have no pitching. Even without Lowe and Penny, they still have a solid rotation and their pen is one of the best in the NL.

Someone on another site just posted the Dodger lineup. It's frightening.
And considering their pen, I'd say they have fine enough pitching. Plus a whole season of Clay Kershaw.

What happened to "Superstar Aaron Miles will lead Cubs to 116 wins and a WS sweep"?

? I think the Cubs win 92-95 games but get swept in the first round. I don't even want Miles starting.

I'm just giving Clappie shit.
Sheesh, when did everyone become so hostile? We haven't even played a real game yet.
We have a 90-win team, pretty much any way you look at it. 90-plus, IMO. We should be looking forward to the season.
True, Miles may only be 80% of DeRosa, but that still makes him a decent player. If Fuk completely shocks me and turns it around, I'll be gleeful, and our team could win 100.
If he doesn't, maybe Jim will go out and find another Edmonds type. Maybe he'll literally go get Edmonds again. Wouldn't bother me.
Go Cubs!

QUOTE Juan Pierre requests trade from Dodgers
Juan Pierre has requested a trade from the Dodgers.
