I don't buy that a team struggling to fill out a rotation spot is going to let go of a player that they just acquired by giving up a starting pitcher. Maybe it's just a backwards way of thinking, but to me it doesn't make much sense.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Maybe they were expecting Pie to be good.

Because clearly, 38 spring training bats has shown them that he's not, right?

That, plus the fact that he has sucked ass every time he's been given a shot with the big club.

And the fact that they have Wigginton and Freel on the roster. Offensively, he's regressed the last 3 years and he doesn't have an MLB bat.
