Anyone else having Gameday Audio problems?

So I have still not been able to listen to a live game this season... it is BEYOND driving me absolutely mental. I really only get to listen/watch games on the weekend anyway since a lot of things are blocked at work, but even at home i can't get it working. Yet again i have spent an entire game downloading and installing updates, plugins, new drivers etc that the freakin' spoof-monkeys over at MLB 'Customer Support' are suggesting. GAAAAAAHHH!

Have absolutely scoured the MLB Support Forums (link) - seems lots of people are having the same problems with the new setup - and have done everything they've suggested, including:

• downloading Adobe Flash 10 for both IE and Firefox
• installing silverlight, and disabling and enabling it
• updating everything else, incl. windows, IE and Firefox
• turning off firewalls and disabling web protection (which i'm not happy about doing, don't think we should have to to use a simple application)
• increasing the space available for the Flash player to use
• verified there is nothing wrong with my audio set up - other streaming audio sites work just fine
• closing and restarting everything a million times

And probably a bunch of other stuff. The player starts up fine, it verifies i have subscription, seems to be playing, but there's no audio. Often I also get a 'Media Error: video is temporarily unavailable' error. This is for every single live stream, not just Cubs/WGN. And I have tried each a thousand times. I CAN get archived material fine however... so it's something to do with the live stream.

So just wondering - anyone else had problems? And found anything that worked?

A lot of people seem to think it's something to do with some site called live.edgefcs.net and 'Akamai' that MLB is using to stream the live audio through, and that something somewhere on your computer is blocking it... but who knows. I can't figure it out for mine.

I'm not bothered about the $15 subscription, I just want the friggin thing to work!! (since there are no alternatives)

I can't help re: what could be wrong at this point. I know they had problems with WGN for about the first week of the season, but it's worked fine for the last week or so.

By any chance do you have an iPhone or iPod Touch? If so, WGN was working on MLB's App even when it wasn't on the computer.

Last year I had a problem with MLB.tv and I downloaded a program called "autobahn" and it magically fixed everything. Don't know if that would help.

I don't have an iPhone unfortunately... Even if I did - have been tempted - the data costs over here are so horrific, it wouldn't really be feasible to stream audio for long (we're a bit third world when it comes to IT/telecomms infrastructure I'm afraid).

Could my modem/wireless network be blocking some sites somehow? I'm not terribly au fait with firewalls etc (can only do on/off!) - seems like i need to 'whitelist' some sites but I'm not sure where.

I have no idea why... I pretty much rebuilt the entire freakin computer.
